Who Jamie is for You
Jamie's teaching is rooted in the belief that the practice of yoga offers a space for each of us to find ourselves, without the need to change anything about who we are. No matter what the practice looks like, Jamie encourages you to explore and feel your body on the mat as a way to explore and feel your body off the mat. She loves to design creatively sequenced and physically challenging classes balanced with ease and the space to care for yourself.
Jamie began teaching in 2014 after completing her 200-hour teacher training at BIG Power Yoga and continued studying the Baptiste methodology by completing Level One and the Art of Assisting. Since then, she has completed two Yin Yoga teacher trainings and has completed her 300-hour teacher training at BIG Power Yoga. She's trained with and has been inspired by Nancy Perry, Sarah Martin Montross, Gioconda Parker, Rhia Robinson, Madonna McManus, and Baron Baptiste. When Jamie is off the mat, she's spending time with her husband and their two cats, sharing a meal with friends, dancing on a spin bike, cooking, or traveling to a National Park for a hiking adventure.
What Jamie's Students Say
I always have the experience of being wholly in my physical body and out of my head in Jamie’s classes, thanks to her thoughtful and intentional sequencing. I come back to her classes week after week because of the space Jamie creates for exploration and connection with myself, whether it be in Yin, Powerful Flow, or Jams. I can’t recommend Jamie’s classes enough!
