About Sandy

Sandy took her first yoga class twenty years ago in the cold basement of a community gym from a long-haired, sitar-playing, free-spirit named Nataraja. It was a new adventure for sure! After that first class, her commitment to yoga was mainly focused on providing a supplement to running, cycling, and climbing. It wasn't until she moved to Houston where she found BIG that she began to deepen her relationship with yoga. As an athlete, Sandy loves the physical challenge, the opportunity for self-inquiry, and the incredible community that BIG and Baptiste yoga provide. She completed her 200-hour teacher training at BIG Power Yoga Houston and attended Level 1, Level 2, and Art of Assisting through the Baptiste Institute. She loves to facilitate curiosity, community, and hard work in her classes so that you can create a practice you love and YOUR best self. She is a Certified Baptiste Power Yoga Leader and in addition to passionately sharing Baptiste yoga, Sandy is a registered nurse working to create patient health information that makes a difference in people's lives. She moved to Denver in April of 2019 with her amazing husband, Jared, and their sweet 14-year-old dog, Greta.
